Located on Alabama's Gulf Coast, Pleasure Island is an ideal vacation resort for travelers. Regional airports in Mobile, Alabama (30 miles northwest), and Pensacola, Florida (20 miles northeast), serve the local Baldwin County area. Smaller airfields are in Gulf Shores and Foley. Three major airlines serve the Mobile and Pensacola airports — Delta, Continental and Air Tran.

If you drive, U.S. Interstate 10 is only 20 miles north of Pleasure Island, and Interstate 65 terminates in Mobile. Passenger rail and bus services are available in Mobile and Pensacola. You can even use your own boat and travel from many Midwest river ports. The Intracoastal Waterway, on the north side of Pleasure Island, provides a direct route to Mobile Bay and the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway (which is north of Mobile Bay). The Waterway also connects Pleasure Island with the Mississippi River to the west, and Florida panhandle coastal ports to the east.

Alabama Highway 182 (Perdido Beach Blvd.) links the local towns of Gulf Shores and Orange Beach (where our condos are located), and a bridge across the Perdido Pass ocean inlet connects Pleasure Island with Perdido Key to the east. At the west end of the island, a ferry crosses Mobile Bay to nearby Dauphin Island and a highway to the mainland.
